Golf falls a stroke short

Places 2nd boasting three all-state golfers.
The varsity golf team came ever so close to claiming the 2026 state title, placing second in the VISAA Championship at Williamsburg National Monday, May 11.

The Saints shot 4-over 292 as a team, one shot back of Woodberry Forest. StC had three players earn all-state honors in Charles Lange '26 (1-under 71), Brayden Loehr '28 (72) and Jamie Bliley '27 (74). Michael Sleeker '27 (75) also scored for StC.

The match was close to going to a tiebreak, and the Saints would have been victorious if so with Andrew Ernst '27 carding a 76, four strokes ahead of Woodberry's fifth golfer.
