Senior Legacy Gift

Class of 2024 Senior Parent and Grandparent Campaign

Following a long-standing tradition, parents and grandparents can create a legacy for the 2024 Senior class and show gratitude to the School by making a collective gift.

Transforming Memorial Library

We hope you all will join us in celebrating the Class of 2024 by raising funds to support an exciting project to transform Upper School’s Memorial Library.

Libraries play an essential role at StC by providing access to information and resources, supporting literacy and education, promoting lifelong learning and serving as a community gathering space. After a careful evaluation, the improvements we have identified will support and foster a love for reading, boost academic achievement and encourage the pursuit of knowledge.

We encourage you to contribute as generously as you can. In appreciation for your support, St. Christopher’s will list the names of the Class of 2024 on a plaque in the renovated library.

Memorial Library

The Memorial Library is a beautiful space in Chamberlayne Hall, our main academic building for grades 9-12. We have developed a plan to overhaul the library to create a traditional, warm, and comfortable environment in keeping with the history of the School. The reconfigured space will meet the needs of our students and teachers by creating spaces for collaborative learning, quiet study areas, flexible classroom/conference room, chess tables, and relaxing nooks to recharge during free periods. Memorial Library will become a new hub and community gathering space.

Renovation Highlights

List of 5 items.

  • The library will receive new painting, lighting, carpet, and built-in bookcases around the perimeter.

  • A new centrally located circulation desk will make it easier for librarians to help the boys with reference materials and information requests.

  • The room for quiet study will be updated with new study carrels and task lighting.

  • Clusters of upholstered chairs, window seats, and traditional wooden tables and chairs will provide great options for the boys.

  • An existing gas fireplace will be repaired and operational for the winter months and the addition of armchairs will make this a highly sought-after space.
