Located between Knowles (football) and Jacobs (baseball) fields, STC’s Community Pavilion will provide a permanent gathering area to support outdoor activities including athletics, summer camp, classroom and other co-curricular gatherings. The facility will provide almost 3,000 square feet of covered / shaded outdoor space.
St. Christopher’s will engrave bricks with the name of each senior individually and a plaque recognizing the Class of 2023, which will be included and displayed as part of the Community Pavilion. Although our boys will leave soon, they can enjoy the Community Pavilion when returning for Homecoming and Alumni Weekend events as well as other STC gatherings.
The facility design is consistent with other campus facilities and will include:
-
Class of 2023 names engraved on bricks
-
Concession (food) area
-
Concession (bookstore) area
-
Covered terrace seating area
-
Men’s and women’s restrooms
Other aspects of the project include:
-
Food service – focus is food service/delivery vs. food production (not a full kitchen)
-
Terrace area to support outdoor grilling
-
Additional parking added with access from Henri Road
-
Improved landscaping (consistent with other improved areas)
