Philanthropy Makes the Difference

The Development Office works very closely with the Board of Governors, the Alumni Association and the Parents Association to enhance the programs of St. Christopher's School. Through networking, philanthropic support, special events, and by coordinating other volunteer activities in the classroom, on the sidelines, and in the arts we make the difference in the lives of our community members.

Parents, alumni and friends are integrally involved in the day-to-day life of the School. All parents are members of the Parents Association.

The success of St. Christopher's School is rooted in large measure to the strong support of its constituency and the dedicated army of parent, alumni and friend volunteers who are involved in each of the School's fundraising efforts. The Development Office oversees these activities. We encourage you to volunteer and to offer your talents to our many projects like Annual Giving, Fall Festival or the bi-annual Auction.

Six Major Areas of Philanthropy

List of 6 items.

  • Annual Giving

Annual Giving enables the School to attract and retain the best teachers and maintain small class sizes and individual attention. St. Christopher's holds the national day-school record for sustained alumni support of Annual Giving.
  • Capital Gifts

Capital Gifts support construction of new facilities, campus improvements, technology in the classroom, and more.
  • Endowment

Endowment offers long-term stability to the financial strength of the school through endowed chairs, masterships, prizes, program funds, and more.
  • Planned Giving

Planned Giving enables donors to maximize their gifts to St. Christopher's through bequests, life-income arrangements, gifts of real estate or personal property, or other forms of giving.
  • Special Events

Special events such as our annual Fall Festival and bi-annual Auction are designed to be "fun-raising" by bringing the greater community together, while at the same time, attracting significant support for the programs of the School.
  • Gifts-in-Kind

Gifts In-Kind are donations that St. Christopher's receives of products, time and services. By law, gifts of time and services can be donated but are not eligible to receive a tax deduction. However, products given to the school may be acknowledged and each can be honored with a tax deduction of “fair market value.”
