Baseball finishes as state runner-up

Team ends spectacular season 22-1-1.
The varsity baseball team fell 8-7 in the VISAA final Saturday at Shepherd Stadium.

Unquestionably one of the best baseball teams StC has ever had, the Saints finished the season 22-1-1 and held a 5-1 lead at the end of the first inning. Harrison Coble '21 had a 2-run RBI, then Bradley Garner '23 delivered a 3-run bomb to left-center.

Benedictine climbed back to tie the game in the fourth, and the game was a seesaw affair from then on out.

Carter Schmitt '22 and Pete Bell '21 both delivered RBIs in the late innings.

The lead exchanged for the final time in the top of the seventh as a pitch got to the backstop allowing Benedictine to take the lead for the final time.
