Seven Saints confirm college plans

Ball, Bendall, Busch, Clarke, Foster, Thompson and Vance will play in college.
The college-bound student-athletes of the Class of 2011 at St. Christopher's School are shaping up to be a stout group.

Seven more Saints confirmed their choices Thursday morning. They are: Jamie Ball (Flagler, Cross Country), Casey Bendall (Hampden-Sydney, Lacrosse), James Busch (Washington & Lee, Cross Country), Willy Clarke (Middlebury, Squash), Jack Foster (Holy Cross, Lacroose), Ben Thompson (Christopher Newport, Football) and Harrison Vance (Presbyterian, Golf).

Thompson Brown (football) and David Wesley (wrestling) are already signed, sealed and will be delivered soon to the University of Virginia, headlining the class.

But there are several other promising Saints that have decisions to make in the next few weeks.

Some of the elite student-athletes in the school, like Casey Fox, Patrick Martin, Brody Hingst, Andre Aganbi and Trey Tarr, are still mulling over their options.

Runners Ben Constable (William & Mary) and Nick Richardson (Washington and Lee) have decided on their schools and are capable of competing, but are not sure if they will do so.

Drew DiStanislao is headed to Hampden-Sydney, and plans to play baseball if an upcoming surgery goes well. Perhaps the top all-around athlete in the class, three-sport captain Rob Vozenilek, is leaning toward a walk-on attempt in basketball at Virginia.

Regardless, when all the dust settles, another ceremony will be in order.
