The indoor track and field team placed second in the state VISAA meet Saturday, February 17.

The Saints couldn't best Fork Union Military Academy, a week after nipping the Blue Devils for the Prep League crown.

Elby Omohundro '19 was once again a beast, scoring 35 points for the Saints. Omohundro won the high jump (6-0), was third in the 55-meter hurdles (7.98) and long jump (21-10), and came in second in the triple jump (45-10 1/4). He also got fifth in the shot put (42-5) and pole vaulted 10-6 for 8th place.

In the pole vault, Harrison Rice '18 set a new school record, going 16-2, one of the top heights in the nation.

Ian Smith '20 won the 1000, going 2:38.40.

Frank Royal '19 won the long jump going 23-5, and was also 3rd in 55 in 6.58 seconds.
A select few athletes will continue to train for Nationals.
