Saints down Cougars
Broughton, Buerlein erase 1-0 deficit.
The varsity soccer team defeated Collegiate 2-1 Tuesday, October 21 at City Stadium in a Prep League matchup.
The Saints trailed 1-0 in the 13th minute as the Cougars struck first on a loose ball in front of the 18. The deficit did not last long as Evan Broughton '26 knocked in a header off a corner. Not long afterward, Chase Buerlein '27 buried a shot to make the final margin.
Collin Weis '27 was stellar in goal, coming up with huge saves in the first half to squelch the Cougar attack.
The Saints will have their final regular-season game Friday, October 24 hosting Woodberry Forest at 4:45 pm. Senior Day will begin at 4:30.
