Wrestling 5-1 in duals over weekend
StC finishes second in Virginia Prep Duals.
The varsity wrestling team had an impressive weekend at home this past weekend.
The Saints stopped New Kent, a top-15 team in Virginia, 37-34 in a tight, exciting dual. Kameron Miller '16 was the hero, pinning his opponent at 152 for the bonus points that took the match for StC.
The next night, StC hosted the Virginia Prep Duals. The Saints rolled to the finals besting Norfolk Collegiate (61-15), Woodberry Forest (69-6), Norfolk Academy (57-18) and Covenant (67-12) before falling in a nip-and-tuck match to Benedictine College Prep 30-29.
In the Virginia Prep Duals, Joey Prata '16 (120 pounds), Connor Alexander '19 (113), Jackson Turley '19 (138) posted 5-0 records in the duals.
