St. Christopher's varsity soccer coach Jay Wood was named 2025 National Coach of the Year for independent boys high school teams.
Wood also received Fall Regional Coach of the Year from USC. It is his third such honor, as Wood, in his 35th year at the helm, received the award in 2014 and 2016.
"Clearly, the reason we coach is not about any honors the coach may receive," Wood said. "Still, I am proud of the recognition the StC soccer staff has achieved over the years."
Wood will be honored on Friday, January 16 at the United Soccer Coaches Award Ceremony in Philadelphia, in conjunction with the USC Convention.
