Wrestling Dominates to Start Christmas Break

by Tal Horton '28
Over the first weekend of Christmas Break, Saints wrestlers traveled to the Beast of the East Tournament at the University of Delaware, as well as a tournament at the Covenant School. The St. Christopher's team dominated at both events, with wrestlers finding widespread success.

At the Beast of the East Tournament, five StC wrestlers emerged with a .500 or better record for the tournament: Bradley Ament '28 going 3-2 at 126 pounds, Drew Roggie '26 going 2-2 at 132, Noah Rankin '26 going 3-2 at 138, Eric Pendlebury '26 going 3-2 at 175, and Lance Clelland '27 going 5-2 as a Heavyweight. Clelland also fell only one match short of placing in the prestigious event.

The Saints found success at Covenant School in Charlottesville, too. Dylan Houchins '28 placed 4th in the 144, Justin Hires '26 3rd at 150, Lawson Clelland '30 6th at 215, and MyKhai Miller '28 6th at Heavyweight. Jac Clary '27 also picked up a dominant 17-0 victory in one of his matches. Finally, Banks Lambeth-Butler '28 won the 175-pound class at Covenant, putting a gold tint on the weekend for the Saints.

The Saints will wrestle next in the RWC Duals on Saturday, January 3.
