4x200 Record Falls
Asare '26, White '26, C. Mayer '27, Tidwell '27 fly.
Two 4x200-meter relay teams excelled at Virginia Beach Saturday, January 10.
One team, Elisha Asare '26, Maddox White '26, Coleman Mayer '27 and JJ Tidwell '27, set a new school record finishing in 1:30 flat at the Virginia Beach Relays, placing second overall. It topped the record set last year in 1:30.77. The mark is ranked 31st in the United States, fifth in Virginia and tops in the Richmond area.
The B team, if you can call it that, was no slouch, either, carding a 1:31.89 to place sixth. The team of Bowan Ireland '27, Jaerron Johnson '27, Benjamin Mayer '27 and George Julias '26, is ranked second among VISAA teams and third in the Richmond area.
