The varsity soccer team defeated Norfolk Academy 4-2 in the VISAA state quarterfinals Monday, November 3.

The Saints, seeded first, advance to the semifinals and will host Collegiate, the four seed, Thursday, November 6 at 5 pm on Massey Field. StC has stopped the Cougars twice by the same margin this season, 2-1.

Monday, the Saints jumped out to a 4-0 lead with first-half goals from Jack Rickards '26 and Cole Butler '26. Chase Buerlein '27 opened up the scoring in the second half, burying a shot from point-blank range from Daniel Kehoe '26. Then Sutton Olesen '26 scored three minutes later for a 4-0 margin.

The Bulldogs put up a valiant fight in the final 15 minutes, putting in two goals, but Connor Welch '26 closed the door for good with a diving save in the final seconds.
