The varsity baseball team lost in the VISAA state semifinals 5-0 to Paul VI Saturday, May 17.
The Panthers and East Carolina commit Carter Perdue kept the Saints off balance, only allowing four hits.
Virginia Tech pledge Willie Hurt '25 led the way for the Saints, going 2 for 3 on the night. Wally Jones '25 and UVA commit Bryce Neely '25 had StC's other hits, both going 1 for 3.
The Saints had base runners multiple times early in the contest, but could not convert. StC will lose six regulars to graduation, as coach Tony Szymendera will return a young but talented core in 2026.
