Victor Olesen '26 captured his second All-Metro Player of the Year honor recently, after achieving the honor as a sophomore in 2024.

Olesen was the top-ranked pole vaulter in the area with a height of 16-6. The Stanford recruit was also a force in the 110-meter hurdles, placing second at the state VISAA meet.

The award caps an illustrious career as Olesen is undoubtedly the best high-school vaulter the state of Virginia has ever seen. He vaulted over 18 feet and won four championships each at Dogwood, Prep League and VISAA meets.

Olesen was also named Gatorade VA Player of the Year in 2024 and 2025, and Milestat Athlete of the Year in 2024. He also won the Nike and Adidas U20 National Championships.

Grayson Jones '28 earned second-team All-Metro honors in the 1600, and the 4x400- and 4x800-meter relays. Joining Jones on the 4x8 team (7:57.10) was Noah Smith '27, Asher Green '26 and LT Nguyen '27. On the 4x4 team (3:21.86) with Jones was Coleman Mayer '27, Parker McKay '27 and Maddox White '26.

McKay and White teamed up with George Julias '26 and Elisha Asare '26 for second-team All-Metro honors in the 4x100 (42.22).

White (100 - 10.68, 3rd), Julias (long jump - 22-5.75, 3rd)), EJ Johnson '28 (shot put - 50.5, fifth & discus - 150-1, fourth) and James Segneri '26 (shot put - 55-10.5, 3rd) received an honorable mention with their top-5 area performances.
