Tennis to state semis
Downs Paul VI indoors.
The varsity tennis team defeated Paul VI 9-0 Wednesday, May 14, advancing to the VISAA semifinals Thursday, May 15 at 4 pm versus Norfolk Academy.
The Saints, seeded first, played a game No. 8 seed in the Panthers, indoors at CCV-Westhampton at 11:45 am, instead of dodging rain drops outdoors.
Sterling Burke '25 and Bo Barbour '25 took No. 1 doubles, Cade Collingwood '25 teamed up with Gray Dion '28 at No. 2, and Harrison Willett '25 and Loch Macfarlane '27 won at No. 3.
In singles, it was Barbour, Dion, Collingwood, Willett, Macfarlane and Hayden Doyle '27 taking care of business in flight 1 through 6, respectively.
The Saints will return to StC's Parrish Tennis Complex for the semifinals Thursday.
