by Bratton Jones '30
On Wednesday, September 30, the 7th grade football team lost to Anna Julia Cooper School 20-12.
Aiden Davis showed out for the Saints with a 35-yard punt return touchdown and a 65-yard receiving touchdown from quarterback Will Lehman.
Also, Jack Bloodworth and Davis each had interceptions.
Despite the loss, Coach Stephen Lewis was very impressed with his young team: "I am very proud of the effort of this group. This was the first tackle-football game for most of these guys. I am excited for the season ahead."
The Saints will be looking to get their first win of the season on Wednesday, October 7 versus Collegiate at 3:30 pm back on Knowles Field.
