Ireland '27 All-Metro Player of the Year

Midfielder Bowan Ireland '27 was named 2026 All-Metro Player of the Year by the Richmond Times-Dispatch recently. 

The University of Richmond commit delivered 30 goals and 24 assists, leading StC to the VISAA state semifinals. Ireland was a first-team All-Metro selection as a junior when he broke several school records.

Saints joining Ireland on the first team are James Ayers '26 and Will Baruch '28.

Ayers, a VMI pledge, put in 28 goals to go along with 12 assists in his senior campaign. Baruch took on the toughest defensive challenge every night, lodging 17 forced turnovers with 35 ground balls.

Making the second team for StC is Hugh Mack '27, T Gehring '27 and Will Ackerly '27. 

Mack, an attack and a Loyola (MD) commit, buried a team-high 33 goals with 24 assists. Gehring had 27 goals and 13 assists from his midfielder spot. Ackerly, a Bucknell pledge, used his game-changing speed defensively to pick up 42 ground balls and force 22 turnovers.

Goalie Freddie Moring '27, also a Bucknell commit, received an honorable mention.
