On Saturday, October 25, the Saints’ Varsity Football team took on the North Cross Raiders at Knowle’s Field in their 9th game of the season. They lost in a close, one-possession game, falling to the Raiders 21-26 to go to 6-3 on the season.

On offense the Saints outgained North Cross, gaining 384 total to the Raiders’ 303. RB Aiden White ‘27 and QB Chase Roberts ‘26 led the way, with Roberts throwing 15 completions and 2 touchdowns on 20 attempts, the most accurate he’s been this season. He also threw a pick that came on a miscommunication with his receiver, resulting in a quarterback rating of 116.04. White, meanwhile, rushed for 120 yards on 18 attempts, including a 35 yard run that brought him into the endzone for a touchdown, for an average of 6.7 yards per rush.

Junior WRs Jaerron Johnson and JJ Tidwell both caught touchdown passes. Johnson led the team in receptions with 5 for 49 yards, while Tidwell led the team in receiving yards with 70 on 3 receptions. WR Andy Hingst ‘26 also had 3 catches for 55 yards.

Despite offensive success, the usually reliable Saints defense could not stop North Cross from outscoring them, as they let up 191 rushing yards and 137 passing yards. The defensive line had 2 sacks, both coming from OL/DL Darius Gray ‘26, and one takeaway on a fumble forced by Gray and recovered by DL Lance Clelland ‘27.

For their next and final regular season matchup, the Saints will travel to Collegiate to take on the Cougars at 1pm on Saturday, November 1.
