Saints take Prep League
Baseball will host FUMA Tuesday in first round of state tourney.
The varsity baseball team dropped Trinity Episcopal 5-0 Friday to secure the Prep League title.
It is baseball's 15th VPL title and seventh crown in 10 seasons.
The Saints will host VPL rival Fork Union in the first round of the VISAA state playoffs Tuesday at 4 pm. StC split with FUMA in the season series.
In the win over the Titans Friday, sophomore pitcher Cody Valenzuela struck out 10 batters in a complete-game win.
Sam Partee '15 had two RBI and Porter Reinhart '13 had an RBI double.
