Varsity baseball drops two
Mistakes hurt in Spring Break Classic.
Baseball: Hudgins lifts Freeman past St. ChrisMiscues littered losses to Atlee and Douglas Freeman for the varsity baseball team Wednesday.
The Saints committed eight errors in a 17-7 loss to Atlee, then walked eight batters in a tight, 6-5 setback to the Rebels.
In the Freeman contest, the Rebels scored all six of their runs with two outs.
"We've got to shut people down," Saints coach Tony Szymendera told the Times-Dispatch after the Freeman game. "It's a good one to learn on."
StC will attempt to bounce back Thursday with a 3 pm visit to Lee-Davis.
