Varsity baseball back on track

Four Saints knock in runs in win over Trinity Episcopal.
Four Saints had an RBI in a tight 4-3 victory over Trinity Episcopal in varsity baseball Tuesday afternoon.

Porter Reinhart '13 (2 for 3, two runs) started the scoring with a two-out home run in the first to put the Saints ahead 1-0.

But TES scored the next two runs, one in the third inning and one in the fourth inning to grab a 2-1 advantage.

Undaunted, seniors Jansen Fraser and Worth Osgood came up with back-to-back RBI doubles in the bottom of the fourth to take a 3-2 lead.

Jack English '13 would knock in an important insurance run in the sixth that kept the Titans' seventh-inning run from forcing extra innings.

Tyler Yeatts '12 was solid on the mound, striking out eight Titans in a complete-game win.

The Saints (3-0 Prep League, 7-1) will visit Trinity (2-1, 3-3) Thursday, April 6 at 4:30 pm to end the two-game set.
