Fraser '12 (Richmond) and Reinhart '13 (William & Mary) will stay close.
Baseball players Jansen Fraser '12 and Porter Reinhart '13 have chosen their collegiate paths.
Fraser, a transfer from Deep Run, committed to the University of Richmond. The corner infielder wields a potent, powerful bat.
He chose UR over Bucknell, Bowling Green and Randolph-Macon, among others.
"I chose it because it's a really good academic school and it's a pretty solid [Division I] baseball program," said Fraser, who has also been working on his outfield skills.
Reinhart picked William & Mary after hitting a robust .532 for the Saints in the spring.
Reinhart had other options at bigger schools and programs: Virginia, Wake Forest, Maryland and North Carolina, to name many.
"They're just too big," said Reinhart, who also has a good chance of being drafted by the major leagues in 2013. "I wouldn't start right away, so I liked William & Mary a lot.
"The opportunity to start my freshman year was probably the biggest point why I went there. They showed me they wanted me to come there."
Add the latest commitments to Charlie Yorgen's ECU promise a few months back, and that's three Saints headed to play Division I baseball, as the upcoming 2012 season looks bright for coach Tony Szymendera and the Saints.
