On Wednesday, April 30, the Saints JV Baseball team traveled to the Ark Sports Complex to face off against Central VA Homeschool. Unfortunately, the Saints fell short, losing by mercy rule with a final score of 11–1.

This marks the second meeting between the two teams this season, both resulting in similar outcomes.

The game remained competitive through the first three innings, with the Saints breaking through in the fourth to score their lone run. However, the Patriots responded decisively, scoring seven runs in the bottom half of the inning to take a commanding 7–1 lead.

Unable to mount a comeback, the Saints were held scoreless for the remainder of the game, and the Patriots secured the win by mercy rule in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The Saints look to bounce back as they travel to Trinity on May 2, hoping to build momentum with only a handful of games remaining in the season.
