The Saints JV Baseball team took on the Douglas Freeman Mavericks on Thursday, April 24, in a closely contested game that ended in a narrow 3–2 defeat.
Wyatt Harrison ’29 got the start on the mound and delivered an outstanding performance, holding the Mavericks scoreless through the early innings.
Both teams found their offense in the fifth inning, each putting up two runs. The game remained tied until the top of the seventh, when Douglas Freeman managed to push across the go-ahead run. Despite their efforts, the Saints were unable to respond in the bottom half of the inning.
The Saints now look to regroup as they head on the road to face STAB on April 25, aiming to get back in the win column.
