Wednesday, October 22, St. Christopher's took on AJC for the second time this season. They improved greatly on their first game with the Lions, with a much stronger performance both offensively and defensively.
The Saints forced a safety in the second quarter, then showed their offensive potential when DJ Smith connected with Jay Twine for a 20-yard touchdown with 30 seconds left in the first half, giving them an 8–6 lead at the break.
Despite controlling possession for much of the game and forcing two turnovers on defense, the Saints couldn’t contain AJC’s explosive playmaking, which ultimately proved to be the difference.
The team's improvement and determination was summed up by head coach Stephen Lewis saying: "This group continues to impress. The coaching staff is so proud of their effort and improvement. We look forward to continuing to progress as a group ahead of our final game."
The Saints will host Collegiate Wednesday, October 29 at 4 pm.
