Fernandez '16 state player of the year

Stephen McCray '16 named a first-teamer; Peyton coach of the year.
The Saints No. 1 tennis player, Matthew Fernandez '16, was named the state VISAA Division I player of the year.

Fernandez racked up a 14-4 singles record, Prep League championship and led the Saints to the state title this season and a No. 1 ranking in the Times-Dispatch poll.

StC's No. 2 player, Stephen McCray, is first-team all-state. McCray was Prep League and Woodberry Forest Invitational runner-up, posting a 13-6 record.

Head coach Richard Peyton earned coach-of-the-year honors.
