The varsity wrestling team topped Benedictine 56-18 and Collegiate 41-30, with a 42-31 loss to Bishop Ireton sandwiched between Tuesday at Collegiate's Quad.
The difference in the BI match were pins. The wins were close, but Ireton managed to pin more opponents than the Saints.
One BI pin was in a much-anticipated matchup between defending state champion Andrew Lutterloh and Marshall Hollerith '13 at 220 pounds.
Lutterloh caught Hollerith out of position and got a pin in the second period in a hard-fought match.
William Kelly '14 (106), Tyler Cornett '12 (160) and Robert Janis '13 (145) each went 3-0 in their matches, including a forfeit win for Janis.
The team returns to action Saturday for the Gilman Duals in Baltimore, Md.
