Soccer falls in PKs

Finishes season at 14-6-2.
The varsity soccer team fell to Bishop Ireton after a 0-0 tie 4-3 in penalty kicks Friday afternoon in the first round of the VISAA Division I tournament.

The Cardinals controlled play for most of the first half, but the Saints turned the tables in the second half, getting a few dangerous attacks at the net, including a penalty kick.

After the two five-minute OT periods, the teams were tied at three through six shooters before Ireton got one past Mohammed Sarhan '14.

Sarhan was exquisite in goal the whole afternoon, shining in PKs with two saves and a force of a Cardinal to shoot wide. He even got his hands on the winning PK, but it trickled into the goal.

The Saints finish the season at 14-6-2.
