St. Christopher’s Cross Country Takes Private School Title

St. Christopher’s Cross Country runners grabbed the first four places to capture the Private School Division Team title at the Maymont Cross Country Invitational. Seniors James Busch, Farrar Pace, Nick Richardson, Jamie Ball, and Stephen Wood established an early lead and pulled away from the field at the mile and half point. Despite mid-summer temperatures, the team stayed in a pack throughout the race, but Busch and Pace duked it out the last 400 meters to claim gold and silver medals. This is the first team title for St. Christopher’s at the Maymont event. The Saints Varsity travels to Woodberry Forest School on Friday for a re-match with the Tigers.
  • Homecoming: Cross Country Vs. WFS

St. Christopher's Cross Country hosted it's first Home meet on campus in 46 years. Competing against defending State and Prep League champions -Woodberry Forest, the Saints fell short on a course that circled all of the major fields on St. Chrispher's 43 acre campus. Seniors James Busch and Jamie Ball led for most of the race, but WFS's Kevin Bennert ran a 5:05 last mile to win the race. St. Christopher's senior runners (Busch, Ball, Nick Richardson, Farrar Pace, and Stephen Wood) were the teams top finishers.
