  • Saints Make All-Metro Wrestling Team

    The Richmond Times-Dispatch has released the All-Metro Wrestling team for 2010 season. Saints included on the first team are Brandon Jeske ' 13 and David Wesley '11. Senior Ted Gottwald made second team All-Metro. The complete list is available here. 
  • Follow St. Chris at the National Preps

    Six St. Christopher's wrestlers are seeded in the top 12 of their weight classes for the 2010 National Preps Tournament, which will be held 26-27 February at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. In the preliminary seeds, Freshman Brandon Jeske (119) is seeded second, junior David Wesley (160) is seeded third, while Chris Gill received the #4 seed at 215. Three-time VISAA State Champion Ted Gottwald (171) is seeded fifth, while State Champ Loren Phillips (145) is seeded sixth. Trey Tarr (140) and Rennie Merhige (152), who were both runners-up at last week's State tournament have been seeded 11th and 12th respectively. Action at the National tournament will begin Friday, February 26 at Lehigh University's Stabler Arena.

  • Saints Finish VA Duals 2-2


    St. Christopher's entered the 2010 Virginia Duals hoping to improve upon last season's 2-2 record and top six finish in the American High School Division. Entering the tournament as the number two seed, the Saints believed that reaching the finals was a definitely possibility, however Haddonfield, NJ had other plans. Winning five out of the first seven matches to build a 28-9 lead in the semi-finals, Haddonfield never looked back, winning the dual 36-25.
