Lower School

The Lower School Health Clinic is located on the first floor of the Lower School next to the main office. Students are welcomed to be seen at all times during school hours. Nurse McCabe will triage every student to assess his medical need with communication of significant findings with parents/ guardians.

Middle and Upper Schools

The MS/US Health Clinic is located on the first floor of Wilton Hall (Middle School). Students are welcomed to be seen at all times during school hours. Dr. Van will triage every student to assess his medical need with communication of significant findings with parents/ guardians.

What to do if you suspect or are dealing with...

  • Strep Throat

    Symptoms include but are not limited to severe sore throat, fever, congestion, cough and fatigue. If your son has been diagnosed with strep, he may return to school 24 hours after the start of his antibiotic.
  • Influenza (Flu)

    Symptoms include high fever, muscle pain, headache, extreme fatigue with or without gastrointestinal symptoms. Please remain at home until fever free for a minimum of 24 hours without any use of anti-fever medications (motrin, ibuprofen, tylenol) to limit the spread of disease on campus. CDC recommends that everyone over the age of 6 months receive the annual flu vaccine. It is not too late to get this year’s vaccine.
  • Gastrointestinal Illness

    Symptoms include stomach cramping, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea with or without fever, chills or headaches. Affected students will be sent home and be asked not to return until 24 hours past the last episode of vomiting or diarrhea.
  • Head Lice

    We encourage families to be proactive in checking for lice if the boys exhibit symptoms. If you suspect head lice please consult your pediatrician regarding whether over the counter or prescription treatments are needed.

All members of St Christopher’s School are guided by state and federal privacy laws protecting patient information in the healthcare setting. In general, information is only shared with faculty and staff on a need to know basis to ensure the student’s safety and welfare if parental permission is granted in Magnus.
