Moving up the Rankings

For the third race of the year at Woodberry Forest School trail, the boys and girls had a great day for the mountain biking team. Headlining with their first podium appearance was Logan Amey, the team captain, and William Sutten. 

Jr/Sr Boys (52 racers)
Amey started in 8th place and came in with a 4th place podium finish.  He is now 6th overall. 
Junior Charles Herlihy continued to make his way up the pack, started in 20th and finished 17th, placing him 17th overall.

Junior Porter Valerie despite being off the bike all week with a cold his results were still good enough to move him up one to 16th overall.

JV girls (19 racers):
Junior Claire Tobin finish 12th despite a rocky start and moved up from 11th to 9th overall.

Sophomore boys (51 racers):
Sutten started in 8th and pulled out an amazing 2nd place podium finish, putting himself at 5th place overall. 
Ford White continues to push his way to the top as well. He started 14th and finished 11th, moving him up to 12th overall.

"The team is small but mighty," says coach Mayer. Heading into the last race of the year the Saints are ranked 12th overall out of 26 teams after finishing 9th as a team in Woodberry. The last race is this upcoming Saturday in Charlottesville.
