Varsity Football drops Lafayette

The varsity football team took its first win of the 2023 season on the road in Williamsburg, topping Lafayette 16-14.
Offensively, the Saints were led behind a solid performance from sophomore RB Mikey Farley, who totaled 121 yards and a TD on only 9 carries. QB Kahlil Nash '24 also showed flashes, going 9-13 with 119 yards and a deep TD ball to Jacob Zollar '24.
On the other side of the ball, St. Christopher's relied on Addison Gosline '25 and Henry Omohundro '24 to get stops. The two had a combined 20 tackles and held a historically high-scoring team to only 14 points. Jack Hall '24 also had the Saints' only pick.
The Varsity squad looks to move to 2-0, on Friday, September 8 against Flint Hill. The Saints will play their second consecutive Friday Night Lights game on Knowles Field at 6:30 pm.
