FULL RESULTS

It was a beautiful fall Saturday at Miller School of Albemarle for NICA race #3 Saturday, October 29.

Our racers completed MSA's signature uphill start to separate the pack, raced along the gravel road to climb a rutted double track that led to the fly-over bridge (new feature!) and dropped them into a tight, fast and technical downhill, only to be faced the 10% grade climb of the famed chunky Puke Hill.

This hard effort was rewarded with a mile long fast and flowy descent to the quarter mile lotus pond grass loop for an uphill finish. Racers completed 2 loops of this challenging 4 mile circuit.

Top scorers Ellie Torrance (11th JV girls), Claire Tobin (6th soph girls), Porter Valerie (9th soph boys) and Richmond Southall (23 JV boys) helped keep the Saints in 11th place out of 27 teams.

Shout out to Charles Herlihy, Colin Boyle and William Sutten who all finished in the top 25 of their categories with over 50 riders in each group.

The final race of the season will be Saturday, November 4 at Monticello High School in Charlottesville.
