Schmitt named first-team All-Metro
The catcher is a two-time selection.

The trophy case got a bit heavier Wednesday, July 20, as Carter Schmitt '22 was named first-team All-Metro by the Richmond Times-Dispatch.
The catcher garnered his second first-team honor while hitting .488 with three home runs, 13 doubles - a school record, two triples and 35 RBI. He also swiped 12 bases.
Schmitt will continue his career at Randolph-Macon.
Pitcher Sterling Austin '22 and third baseman Bradley Garner '23 were honorable mentions.
