Youth Speaker David Flood Returns to StC

Flood stressed respect and compassion during a day with our Middle School.
St. Christopher’s was thrilled to once again host youth motivational speaker David Flood. Last week, Flood spent the day with our Middle School boys to discuss the value of compassion and respect in our everyday lives. Students, faculty and staff heard Flood start his day at MS chapel and then held discussions with him in small group settings throughout the day.

Flood has visited StC several times in recent years, and while the COVID-19 pandemic has made things more difficult to personally connect with his audiences, he believes that his message of inclusivity, kindness and connectedness is more urgent than ever. “I will always go out and try to bring people together,” he said. “I’m looking forward to looking these young men in the eyes again and hearing them share their stories today.”

What Flood hopes is that his message resonates with the boys after his talks. “I hope that when I leave they don’t think of me, they think of what I’ve said,” said Flood. “When they’re on the field, when they walk the hallways, they pause and think about their actions.”
