McDermott '22, Alphen '23 named all-state
Defensive stalwarts are both named to the first team.
VISAA All-State Teams
Taylor McDermott '22 and Rex Alphen '23 were both named to the VISAA Division I All-State team.
McDermott, a captain and in his third year with the varsity, excelled at center back for the Saints.
Alphen, also a three-year varsity member, used his 6-3 frame and athletic instincts to thwart multiple opportunities for StC in goal.
Both young men were also named to the All-Prep team, leading the Saints to six shutouts, a 10-4-4 overall record and the VISAA semifinals.
