In its final tuneup before the VISAA competition Feb. 15-16, the varsity wrestling team finished second at the Melee on the Metro at Wilson HS in Washington, D.C.

The boys returned home with five individual champions: Erik Roggie '21 (106), Mason Dubois '21 (132), Connor Alexander '19 (138), John Flood '19 (160) and Jackson Turley '19 (182). That's one more champ than national perennial power Wyoming Seminary had.

The Saints also had several other placers: Third - Jameson Knotts '20 (152); Fourth - Luke Hart '21 (113); Jake Keeling '21 (120); Fifth - Kevin-Michael Schork '21 (126); Seth Wagner '19 (145).

StC will go for a second straight state VISAA title at Cape Henry Collegiate on February 15-16.
