Three Saints competed in the New Balance Outdoor Nationals at North Carolina A&T in Greensboro this past weekend.
Two came back with All-American status (top 6 finishers).
Harrison Rice '18, Virginia Tech-bound in the fall, placed fourth in the pole vault at 16-5 1/4, a new personal best and a school record.
Frank Royal '19 was fifth in the long jump at 23-5 1/4, after traveling from Indiana earlier in the weekend, where he broke the school record at 24-4 1/2 at the USATF Junior Outdoor Championships. He finished fifth there as well. The four placers ahead of him were all college athletes, and the top 3 qualified for the World Championships in Finland.
Elby Omohundro '19 placed 10th in the decathlon, but had a personal best in points, and now has the top state decathlon mark.
