Members of the Class of 1968 visit fifth graders

Wilson Trice '68, Robert Turnbull '68, and Larry Blanchard '68 share memories with the class of 2025.
On Friday, May 4, members of the class of 1968 visited fifth grade boys to talk about their memories of Lower School and the transition to Middle School. Wilson Trice, father of teacher Molly Trice, Rob Turnbull, and Larry Blanchard were the Literary Society officers for the Chamberlayne Reds in 1960-1961 when they were in fifth Grade.

They three alums recalled wearing long white pants to commencment as fifth graders, a tradition that predates them and one that will once again be honored when the class of 2025 commences in just one month. They also recalled starting Latin, history and other new subjects when they started in the middle school in the fall of 1961.
