Saints Win First Game Against Trinity

The Saints downed Trinity 6-1 Tuesday in a high-scoring performance for the varsity baseball team.

Trinity scored first after their quick bats got their first and only run of the game. The Saints followed suit with 2 runs in the second and 4 in the fourth. Notable batters for the Saints included Patrick Routsis '19 going 2 for 3 with a double and an RBI, and Donovan Murphy '18 with a double and 2 RBI’s.

The Saints performed phenomenally on the mound with starting pitcher Charlie Vozenilek '19, who had multiple strikeouts and the win in 5 2/3 innings pitched. Nick Biddison '18 closed for the Saints with 4 strikeouts and no runs allowed, moving the Saints to 12-1 on the season.

Trinity will have a chance to redeem themselves in the Saints' next game. The two will be playing at 4:30 on Friday at Trinity Episcopal School.
