The Saints traveled to RF&P park Saturday to face the Benedictine Cadets in the annual Buddy Ball Classic where they emerged with an 8-5 victory.

Both teams got off to a strong offensive start with the Saints scoring four in the second inning, while the Cadets scored five in the first three. The Saints, alongside phenomenal defense, allowed no runs in the final 4 innings before scoring four of their own in the 7th to secure the win.

Saints pitching was split between Hunter Andrews '18 and Patrick Routsis '19. Offensive highlights include a home run and three RBI’s in a 2 for 4 appearance by Nick Biddison '18, Will Atkinson '18 with 2 runs and an RBI, and Maddison Furman '18 with a run and RBI.

The game, held for charity each year, raised $5,000 thanks to fan support and donations throughout the game. The Saints, now 11-1, will next face Trinity Episcopal on Tuesday, April 17 at 4:30 pm at home.
