Boys study evolution and genetics with biome project

Mrs. Anderson's and Mr. Burnette's seventh grade science students built biomes to learn how various organisms would adapt in new environments.
Mrs. Anderson's and Mr. Burnette's seventh grade students recently built biomes as a part of their study of genetics and evolution. Each boy picked an animal, researched it, and then moved it to another biome.  The boys had to predict how their organism would change to adapt to the new environment.  Each model shows the original biome and the new biome. "The project allowed the boys to put together a variety of concepts, problem solve, and be creative," says Mrs. Anderson.
