Saints Baseball Earns Win on Road

The varsity baseball team traveled to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy on Tuesday where it earned an 8-1 near shutout victory behind a 1-hitter from pitcher Patrick Routsis '19. 

Both teams suffered a slow start as the Saints led 1-0 following the fourth inning, but pace soon increased drastically for the Saints as they scored 7 additional runs in the last three innings.

Star performances for the Saints included the pitching performance of Routsis, who held the opponent to only one run, Donovan Murphy '18, who went 2-4 with 2 runs and an RBI, Thomas Caravati '18 with a 2-4, one run performance, Josh Waite '18 who went 1-3 with 2 runs, and Will Atkinson '18 who went 2-3 with 2 RBI's. 

The Saints, now 5-0, will battle the rival Steward Spartans in a 4:30 pm home game on Thursday.
