On Sunday, Feb. 18, members of the varsity basketball team served as officials for the Special Olympics basketball tournament held at StC and at Virginia Commonwealth University. Initially, the boys officiated games just at StC, but when they got word that there was a shortage of officials at the VCU location, they hopped in their cars and went to the Cary Street Gym and helped out there. 

Coach Hamill Jones received numerous compliments and expressions of gratitude from the Special Olympics staff for the help provided by his players.
