On Wednesday, Jan. 31 third grade boys from St. Christpher's and girls from St. Catherine's visited historic St. John's Church in Church Hill, the site of Patrick Henry's famous "Give me liberty, or give me death" speech. The students saw actors in full period costume reenact the deliberations over whether or raise arms against England that took place at the Second Virginia Convention in March of 1775. 

Special recognition goes to Ted Nelson '27 who took a role in the performance, playing the clergyman who opened the convention with prayer.
