Soccer wins fifth straight

Doug West's goal sinks Woodberry Forest
The varsity soccer team won its fifth straight game, topping Woodberry Forest 2-1 Friday afternoon.

Doug West '13 broke the tie with sheer determination on his second-half and game-winning goal.

"I got lucky when Will [Abbott] stopped the ball and dribbled and put it inside," West said.

The defense held off many strong attacks from Woodberry the rest of the way, as keeper Mohammed Sarhan '14 totaled five saves on the afternoon.

Abbott '13 had STC's first goal.
