Saints rout Norfolk Academy

StC moves to 4-0 with Benedictine visiting next Saturday at 3 p.m.

The varsity football team took care of Norfolk Academy 40-0 on homecoming Saturday afternoon.

Giles Thompson '14 went 17 for 20 with 206 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions, all in the first half. His favorite targets were junior Harrison McVey (6 catches, 74 yards) and senior captain Blair Farinholt (6 catches, 68 yards, 2 TDs).

Miles Jackson '12 returned to action, scoring twice, while Ganon Hingst put up 74 rushing yards on 10 carries.

Safety Sam O'Ferrall '13 continued his stellar play at safety, snatching two interceptions and scooping up a fumble. He has forced six turnovers on the season, including four interceptions for the 4-0 Saints. StC has shut out three of its four opponents on the season (Trinity, STAB and Norfolk).

St. Christopher's will start to face stiffer competition, starting with Benedictine Saturday, October 1 at 3 p.m. back at Knowles Field. The Cadets are coming off a 14-point victory over Group AAA public school James River.
