Soccer clinches Prep League title

Third straight league championship.
The varsity soccer team beat Collegiate 1-0 on the road Tuesday, clinching the Prep League title, the team's third straight.

In the 13th minute, Alexander Levengood '19 took senior Graham Mauck's cross and deposited it past Collegiate's keeper for the final margin.

The Cougars fell 5-0 in the first meeting at StC, but were much more game on this afternoon, and actually had several strong opportunities late to knot the game. But senior keeper and captain Jalen Maurice '17 was up to the task, making big saves late to help StC move to 18–1–1 overall, and a perfect 6–0 in Prep League play.

Up next is the regular-season finale versus Woodberry Forest, Friday at 4 pm at Senior Night.
