Wise '23 All-Metro Player of the Year
Alphen '23 named to second team.
Saints striker Wes Wise '23 was named All-Metro Player of the Year by the Richmond Times-Dispatch Thursday, July 13.
Wise was an All-Prep and first-team All-State honoree, and won the Golden Boot (4 goals, 1 assist) in leading StC to the VISAA championship. The Franklin & Marshall commit delivered 29 goals and seven assists on the season. He's only the third Saint to earn the honor, joining Alexander Levengood (2018) and Max Hare (2006).
Joining Wise on the All-Metro team is keeper Rex Alphen '23. Alphen, headed to Bucknell, made the second team. He spearheaded a tough Saints defense that surrendered zero goals in three state-tournament contests.
